Own Your Peace Fulfills Needham Bank’s Challenge Grant

NEEDHAM, Mass. - Jan. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- Needham Bank is proud to support Own Your Peace, a community project through Needham High School. Needham Bank donated $5,000 to the organization, and additionally challenged them to get matching donations of up to $5,000. With the completion of their challenge grant, Needham Bank contributed $10,000 to support Own Your Peace.

Own Your Peace is an unprecedented merging of public art and wellness. The core of this organization is about a community defined by its commitment to care. The goal is to engage Needham High School and the Needham community through a sculpture in the high school’s main circle. The funds raised by Own Your Peace will be directly attributed to building this monument.

Beth Pinals of Own Your Peace remarked that, “Needham Bank shares a common vision with Own Your Peace and has stepped forward as a pillar for this innovative sculpture. The missions of Own Your Peace and Needham Bank align in their vision of a caring community and their belief in taking little everyday steps to reach out and support a neighbor. The OYP Board is grateful for the Bank’s modeling this ideal, for actively partaking in our Dancing with the Stars and Comedy Night events and in helping to remind people of the resources in this community.“
