Introducing (DE-FI)ance Fashion Week

DAYTON, Ohio - Jan. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Dayton Emerging Fashion Incubator (DE-FI) Fashion Week will be starting on Tuesday, May 6 and ending on Saturday, May 10, 2014.  All proceeds from these events are to raise money to support area independent fashion designers and fashion professionals to launch and/or grow their brands and establish and support for the Art of (DE-FI)ance Fashion Fund. These funds will assist designers to purchase materials and fabrics to produce their line, pay entrance fees for Fashion Weeks and be in front of buyers and financial sponsors. The Dayton Emerging Fashion Incubator (DE-FI) Fashion Week schedule is as follows:

Opening Day: Tuesday, May 6, 2014 - Ticket Cost: $10  'Fashion Mixer and Trunk Show' from 5:30 pm to 9:30 pm held at the Dayton Visual Arts Center located at 118 N. Jefferson Street, Dayton, OH 45402, (937) 224-3822. This event is a mix and mingle with participating guests, designers, models, sponsors and the entire (DE-FI) team along with a leisure shopping fashion Trunk Show.

Day 2: Wednesday, May 7, 2014 - Ticket Cost: $20 'Couture Hair Show' from 7 pm to 9 pm held at the Dayton Masonic Temple located at 525 W. Riverview Avenue, Dayton, OH 45405, (937) 224-9795.  This event will showcase the area's Top 8 Stylists and Salons being featured during this themed Hair Competition ending with a cash prize.

Day 3: Thursday, May 8, 2014 - Ticket Cost: $30 'Stylish Mom Runway Show' from 7 pm to 9 pm held at the Packard Museum located at 420 S. Ludlow Street, Dayton, OH 45402, (937) 226-1710.  This event will showcase the area's Top 8 Boutiques featuring Dayton and the Miami Valley's Mom's on the runway along with special guest Fashion Stylists Jennifer Link of Dayton and Sheree Alexis of Columbus, Ohio.

Day 4: Friday, May 9, 2014 - Ticket Cost: $40 'Fashion in the Mystic Garden II' from 7 pm to 9 pm held at the SunWatch Indian Village located at 2301 West River Road, Dayton, OH 45417, (937) 268-8199.  This event will showcase the culinary skills of Chef Anthony Head matching a menu to compliment the fabrics used, the theme of the collection and color schemes, to produce a multi-course meal.

Final Night: Saturday, May 10, 2014 - Ticket Cost: $55 'First Flight...Now Fashion Vintage Couture Ball' from 8 pm to 12 am held at the Commander Aero Airport located at 10570 Springboro Pike, Miamisburg, OH 45342, (937) 885-5580, http://www.commander-aero.com.  This event will be our final (DE-FI)ance Fashion Week night culminating a unique celebration related to aviation, innovation and fashion; leaving all our attendees with a fashion experience they will never forget.
