PASADENA, Calif. - Jan. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- SHUMEI AMERICA announces their upcoming 6th Annual Natural Agriculture Conference, being held on Sunday, February, 16th, 2014 at their National Center, located at 2430 E. Colorado Boulevard in Pasadena, California.  Registration for this event is totally FREE and all experienced and newbie gardeners are welcomed.

Natural Agriculture is both a philosophy and a practice that was developed in Japan by the naturalist Mokichi Okada in the 1930s.  While conventional farming has radically changed the way that food is produced over the past 80 years, not much has changed in the world of Natural Agriculture, except that more and more farmers around the world consider it to be the most effective, sustainable, and easiest form of farming. http://www.shumei-na.org/world/index.html

At the conference, participants will learn about the many unique aspects of growing Natural Agriculture food. For example, there is no need to use any herbicides, pesticides, fertilizers, or even animal manure. Unlike Organic gardening, nothing is added.  Instead, a simple mulch of local leaves and grasses are placed on top of the soil, and this is done to retain moisture and to keep the soil soft and temperate.

The purpose of the Natural Agriculture Conference is to provide information and discussion about these back to nature approaches that create harmony and balance with the environment as well as provide the healthiest fruit and vegetable yields possible. The conference will provide an opportunity to learn and adopt Natural Agriculture practices as well as start and maintain personal and community gardens.

Previous conferences have inspired many to adopt Natural Agriculture practices for starting and maintaining personal and community gardens on their own. However, this year, the public can participate in a special program that will provide hands-on assistance in establishing their home gardens.

The conference is vital because it illustrates a practical means of providing food security that is sustainable and friendly to all of nature.

All are welcome to register at www.NAConf.org  , or to call 626-584-8841.
