Vampires and Spies to Frequent Popular Famingdale (NJ) Donut Shop on February 5th at Noon

Popular fiction author, David M. Salkin to appear for a book discussion

Jan. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- Military-espionage of the fictional kind and love among vampires will be discussed around donuts and coffee at DOCO The Donut and Coffee Company (www.docodonut.com) 5015 Route 33/34 (Collingswood Circle) in Farmingdale on  Wednesday, February 5th at noon.

Award-winning fiction author, David M. Salkin will be discussing his six published works and his upcoming novel in a very intimate and dessert-friendly setting. We expect his talk to be interesting and exciting for all book lovers.

DOCO, a very popular hand-dipped donut shop in the area, wants to be a place where people come and “sit a spell” for community, entertainment and enrichment of the culinary and cultural kind. It is offering an ongoing speaker’s series to that end.

David M. Salkin, a graduate of Rutgers University, with a BA in English Literature, is the author of twelve finished novels, six of which have been published to date.  Published titles are:

·        Crescent Fire (Penguin Books USA)

·        Necessary Extremes (Penguin Books USA)

·        The MOP (PublishAmerica)

·        The Team

·        Forever Hunger

·        Deep Down

Four of these novels are military-espionage action thrillers.  Forever Hunger is an urban-fantasy, vampire romance horror story, and Deep Down is a mystery thriller.  David signed with Permuted Press for Deep Black Sea, due to be released in 2014, and is working with another publisher, for another soon to be announced release.

Mr. Salkin has also served as the Mayor, Deputy Mayor, Township Committeeman in Freehold Township, NJ for 20 years.  He has hosted a weekly television cable news program, “From The Mayor’s Desk” which covers a wide variety of topics with various guests.

Salkin has a postgraduate degree from The Gemological Institute of America (G.I.A.), where he received the title Master Graduate Gemologist.  He is current owner of The Jewel Case (http://www.salkinsjewelcase.com/) in Freehold Township.
