The Virtual High School to Present at OETC 2014

VHS to Share Global Learning & 21st Century Skills Building Best Practices Today & Tomorrow with Ohio Educators

MAYNARD, Mass. - Jan. 27, 2014 - PRLog -- The Virtual High School (www.thevirtualhighschool.org),  nonprofit pioneer of K-12 online learning, today announced they will be hosting two presentations at OETC 2014, January 27 – 29, 2014 in Columbus, Ohio, the third largest state educational technology conference in the nation. These events will enable educators  throughout Ohio and in neighboring states to learn from online and blended learning success stories, and about the benefits of supporting a Virtual High School (VHS) global e-learning program at their school.

Mark Bucceri, VHS Chief Learning Officer, will be hosting two sessions. On January 27 from 8 – 8:50 am, he will be presenting Going Global with Online Teaching & Learning with Deb Baker, an English teacher at Tiffin City Schools. Then, on January 28 from 2:15 – 3:15 pm, he will moderate a discussion, 21st Century Teaching and Learning: Online and Blended Learning Success Stories together with Antwerp Local Schools, Delaware City Schools and North College Hill City Schools.

“Throughout much of our 16-year history we’ve worked with schools in the Midwest to meet a variety of educational challenges ,” said Jeffrey A. Elliott, CEO of VHS. “We are excited to share our expertise with area professionals on a larger scale.”

Courses are taught by highly qualified teachers who are specially trained in online teaching best practices, and are certified in their subject areas.
