About Deena Beasley

Deena Beasley is an actress who plays the role of  “Thresh’s Grandmother” in the Mega hit feature film “Catching Fire” (Hunger Games 2.)  Deena’s Film & TV projects include, “Single Ladies,” “Mystic Rising,” “It’s Supernatural,” “One Tree Hill,” “Adrenaline,” and “Bad Lieutenant : Port of Call.”  Some of Deena’s talents include being the CEO of Allura Images Management Team, a Model Coach, a Talent Manager, a Casting Director and a Production Coordinator. Deena has casted for projects needing models and actors and coordinated fashion shows for Momma Dee  of “Love and Hip Hop Atlanta,” Macy’s,  The House of Peter Maxfield, Nina Chanel, Steel Magnolias Premiere Party (Atlanta),  Studio Couture, and Kim Williams Presidential Party.  Deena was a high fashion model and has walked the Runways in Paris, Milan, Tokyo, NYC and London.  She is a true lover of life. Deena is a 3 time heart attack survivor. She is a humanitarian and ambassador for the “Living Heart 2 Heart Foundation.”  In 2013, Deena was presented a Proclamation from The City of Atlanta for being a Fashion Icon for her contribution to the Fashion Industry.

Originally presented by Turner Broadcasting in 1993 and now presented by the Trumpet Awards Foundation, Inc., the Trumpet Awards were created to herald the accomplishments of Black Americans who have succeeded against immense odds. Special recognition is given to the few, who symbolize the many, who have overcome the ills of racism and poverty and achieved special greatness.
