“I’m a patient and I need to be heard” video attracts thousands of views and national media attention as hospital bed-bound Gleason tells providers what she needs.
Gleason, fed up from the lack of sleep, and not being included in important discussions about her health, maturely shared via video that she wants to have dialogues with all of her providers, and she wants to be engaged in her health, but waking her up at 6 am is not the best way to get those conversations started. Additionally, she shared how frustrating it is to be excluded from conversations about her body, and her health, as providers pull her parents into the hall to talk.
