FRESNO, Calif. - Jan. 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Bethesda Apostolic Church, one of the fastest growing churches in the San Joaquin Valley, just purchased a new facility to be used as a children's academy. The over 6,400 square foot and .5 acre lot promises to provide ample space for the future academy. "It is the goal of Bethesda to meet the holistic needs of the community. This children's academy and day care facility is just another step in the overall vision of Bethesda," says Pastor T. Brookins, Senior Pastor of Bethesda.

The proposed name of the child care facility is Starting Blocks. The idea of the name is to memorialize the fact that the child care facility will be the beginning of educational experiences for hundreds of children. What makes this facility unique is that the educational philosophy is to be based on the new Common Core standards that all public schools will be implementing over the next 4 years.

Bethesda will engage in a 90-day plan to renovate and implement design elements to bring the current facility to a standard that expresses a fun, learning environment with an emphasis on 8 domains. Pastor Tobaise Brookins states that this step in purchasing the new facility is just one of multiple steps leading to a full K-College educational program.
