Needham Bank Donates $10,000 to Support Needham War Memorial Committee

NEEDHAM, Mass. - Jan. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- Needham Bank is pleased to sponsor the Needham War Memorial Committee with a donation of $10,000 towards their goal of $40,000. The funds raised by the Needham War Memorial Committee are dedicated to building a respectful tribute to our fallen Needham Patriots who served in all United States wars.

According to Phil Robey, Chairman of the committee, Needham’s contribution played a large role in the completion of their funding, "The War Memorial Committee, honoring Needham's Fallen Brave, has reached its fund raising goal and much of the success to its campaign was due to the encouragement and substantial donation given to this cause by Needham Bank.”

Now that funding has been completed, a granite monument will be inscribed with the 97 Needham citizens killed in service to our country, starting with the Revolutionary War. This monument will find its permanent home in Needham’s Memorial Park and a plaque will be displayed at Needham High School.
