GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - Jan. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- WriteSteps (http://WriteStepsWriting.com), an evidence-based, award-winning, 100 percent Common Core K-5 digital writing program, has been chosen as a product for District Administration’s Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products Award in 2013.

Winners were chosen from over 1,800 nominations that were sent in by K12 leaders detailing the products’ positive impact on their schools.

“We’re incredibly honored to have been nominated and chosen as a Top 100 Product by District Administration,” said Suzanne Klein, Founder and CEO of WriteSteps. “Thank you to all of the school leaders who nominated us for this honor.”

Editors from District Administration Magazine narrowed down the list based on the quality and quantity of the testimonials sent in. As stated from the press release announcing the winners, “the editorial board is confident that this year’s Top 100 Products showcases the best of the best.”

The award’s purpose is to inform superintendents and other school district leaders about products their colleagues around the country are using to help their districts excel.

WriteSteps is an innovative, print and web-based learning portal for teachers that provides daily writing lesson plans and student visual aids, videos of modeled lessons, print and video updates, and parent resources.  Teachers can access the award-winning writing lessons anywhere there is internet access. WriteSteps works well with interactive white boards, document cameras, and iPads.

WriteSteps is also the recipient of Learning Magazine’s 2013 Teachers' Choice Award, recipient of the eLit Gold Award for Digital Publishing Excellence, and recipient of the APEX Award for Publishing Excellence in Writing.

About WriteSteps

In 2007, WriteSteps Founder and CEO Suzanne Klein committed herself to creating teacher-friendly writing lessons after her school decided to prioritize writing due to low student outcomes. The writing program she developed - WriteSteps - was so successful in raising test scores and student confidence that the company expanded its scope to refocus instruction on the Common Core State Standards for writing and grammar. Its Common Core release won a "Best of Entrepreneurs" Award from Ann Arbor SPARK in 2010 and launched nationwide in September, 2011. WriteSteps is the recipient of Learning Magazine 2013 Teachers' Choice Award, recipient of the eLit Gold Award, and the recipient of the APEX Award for Publication Excellence in writing.
