KENMORE, Scotland - Jan. 23, 2014 - PRLog -- In the year of Homecoming Scotland 2014 businesses in the Kenmore area are pulling out all the stops to make the return of their WinterWeek+ Festival, a short term break initiative, the best ever, with a multitude of events, activities and accommodation offers aimed at the mid-winter tourist.

Starting on Saturday 15th February and running until Sunday 23rd February, WinterWeek+ offers visitors to the Kenmore area a selection of different events and activities suitable for both couples and families including ghost walks, chocolate making workshops, a Farmers’ Market, bell-ringing concert and Alpine safaris.

A new addition to the WinterWeek+ schedule this year is the recently re-opened Birks Cinema in Aberfeldy whose £1.3million redevelopment has transformed the heart of nearby Aberfeldy and created a hub for film lovers visiting the area. Another prominent attraction at the heart of WinterWeek+ is the Scottish Crannog Centre who will be leading the festivities by opening its doors to the public with a range of Iron Age themed events as well as a Guided Walk to the nearby Iron Age Hillfort.

Director, Barrie Andrian, said:

“We’re delighted to be supporting the WinterWeek+ Festival again for the fourth year and we look forward to offering a warm welcome to visitors who normally find us closed at this time of year.
