About the World Sports Alliance
The WSA currently has 31 member states from around the globe. Its vision is to use the medium of sport to significantly contribute towards achieving the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals towards building a just, humane and equitable society (http://www.worldsportsalliance.org/
The importance of the WSA Social Initiative, coupled with the wide array of WSA PPP projects in Waste-to-Energy, Waste-to-Fertilizer, Natural Resources Mining, WSA-ITS-Container Scan and other areas, demand the highest level of risk management, contractual transfer, insurance, non-insurance risk transfers and mitigations to assure the success of its mission.
The WSA-IGO program has 8 important core objectives:
· Eradicate extreme hunger and poverty
· Achieve universal primary educations
· Promote gender equality
· Reduce child mortality
· Improve maternal health
· Combat HIV/aids, malaria and other diseases
· Insure environmental stability
· Global partnership for development
According to Grant Davis, CEO of GDI Insurance Agency, “Any one of these risks here in the United States would be challenging. Adding the international exposure increases the risk dramatically.”
The WSA enters into partnerships with a very diverse and complex group of partners to develop income to support their Humanitarian objectives. The first few projects GDI Insurance Agency will work on include:
1. Large diamond and gold mines in South Africa.
2. Waste to energy and waste to power and tires to oil, carbon and steel plants.
3. A next generation scanning security system for large shipment containers and airport security, all in third world countries.
WSA is proud to have GDI Insurance Agency, Inc. represent its global interests in support of the WSA Social Initiative.
