Epitome of Soul, in collaboration with Barnes & Noble, presents Celebration of African Heritage

Book signing with New York Times best-selling author, Rita Williams-Garcia and performances by the historic, North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club
 
PARAMUS, N.J. - Jan. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- In honor of black history month, Epitome of Soul has collaborated with Barnes & Noble in Paramus, New Jersey for the Celebration of African Heritage event. On Saturday, February 1, 2014 at 2 PM, the North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club, New York Times best-selling author, Rita Williams-Garcia and more will gather to celebrate the contributions of African heritage to the arts through poetry, music and African dance.

The event kicks off with a book signing with Rita Williams-Garcia. Rita has been honored with the Coretta Scott-King award, has been on the New York Times bestseller list for numerous books and is currently working on a biography of Queen Latifah.

Performances will commence after the book signing including the historic, North Jersey Philharmonic Glee Club - the all male choral ensemble founded in 1939 by Dolores Collins Benjamin. Students from the Rosa L. Parks School of the Fine & Performing Arts will be also be featured doing vocal renditions, dance and poetry readings.
