Leading Custom Home Builders + Architects feature in Industry Publications, & Go for National Award

SYDNEY - Jan. 21, 2014 - PRLog -- Chateau Architects + Builders, leading Sydney residential architects and custom home builders were very pleased to feature in key industry publications: HIA's 'Building News'  and the Master Builder's Association 'Excellence in Housing' in December. These news features come ahead of the National 2014 HIA Awards where they are nominated for their NSW award winning 'Wahroonga House'.

The MBA's annual publication for 'Excellence in Housing' features all the winning homes for this prestegious award. For Chateau's winning entry in Best Construct House $1 - 2 Million, it received the following comments from the judge:
"The design of this entry is exceptional. The client required a home with a European modernist feel while utilising natural materials. The builder, with the help of an in-house designer, built the home perfectly. The client expressed their satisfaction with the completed project. Excellent work."

Chateau's entry also featured on the front cover of the HIA 'Building News' for their overall award for HIA-CSR Home of the Year. The Castle Hill company also took home home awards for Custom Built Home of the year and Custom Built Home in the $1 million - $2 million category. In the publication, and of the award win judges said: "This home presents beautifully with the cedar cladding exterior responding superbly in and amongst the surrounding heritage homes. The use of the orange boxed framed window adds an extra dimension to the look of the outside of the project. There were a number of standout features ... such as the warm use of colours, timber flooring, many skylights allowing for lots of natural light..."

Chateau’s nomination in the national HIA Awards is for the Australian Custom Built Home category. Their nominated work is for the custom built and designed 'Wahroonga House' (http://www.chateau.com.au/galleries/pictures/651/Wahroong...) designed by architect Peter Allison. The awards will take place on Friday the 23rd of May, 2014.
