Mr. Butic, a Houston native, spent over a decade with New York City based Channel Capital Group, a hedge fund marketing company, where he ran the manager services unit for the HedgeFund.net division, before the firm was sold by owner Guggenheim Partners.
Prior to launching Trout, Mr. Butic spent a year as an independent merchant services agent selling for multiple service providers. He immersed himself in the industry, developed local relationships, and identified processors that were a best fit for his business model.
