Mia Vermillion is a Pacific NW artist who gained national attention with her 2009 record "Alone Together With the Blues," which charted nationally on both the RMR and Living Blues Report top 50. According to All-About-Jazz’s writer Michael Bailey, “Mia Vermillion has a big vocal presence. She sings with the wild abandon of Janis Joplin, controlled by the fluid precision of Bonnie Bramlett, the gusto of Big Mama Thornton and Bessie Smith. She infuses her singing with more humidity than Ma Rainey and more sex than Lena Horne.”

Mia has opened at Seattle’s Jazz Alley for Blues Hall of Fame inductee John Hammond, shared the bill with Curtis Salgado and Buddy Guy at the Portland Waterfront Blues festival, and much more. She is currently finishing a new record that will be released in 2014.
