What does wearing red, Abla Doku with EventStagers, Red Tie DC, ComedySportz show have in common?

WASHINGTON - Jan. 18, 2014 - PRLog -- In cities and small towns across the world where it seems everyone is busy and hurried many are enduring the effects of life after domestic violence.  The first 2014 Red Tie DC event will be held in the month of February in Northern Virginia to support LADV (Life After Domestic Violence) Foundation.  LADV provides support to those with long-lasting effects of domestic violence. Red Tie DC was created by EventStagers Founder, Abla Doku.  Her overarching goal is to hold an event monthly to support and help provide funding to non-profit and charitable organizations in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area.  Her networking for a cause in DC events will allow attendees to connect, build their business, support a great cause, all while having a great time.

Doku has worked with non-profits as a marketer and fundraiser and has learned first-hand the difficulties non-profit endure. She realizes to hire professional fundraisers to raise funds needed to support charitable organizations is a difficult endeavor.  With a desire to help others succeed she founded her own way to help her community locally and nationally. "Our goal is to help where help is undeniably needed so organizations can gain access to funds without the overhead. We realize the need that is out there and without the financial assistance people will be affected every day,” states Doku.

A “Red Tie” event is a gala or event held for charity causes. It generally does not involve the participants actually wearing red ties, though this occasionally happens. They are held around the country, whereas charity organizations are the beneficiary.

Non-profit organizations such as LADV with the help of others will be able to offer and support their mission. Red Tie DC, the brain child of Doku is just one of many ways she has given back to the community. She is always looking for new, creative ways to give back to the community. Any charity can be considered as a beneficiary by contacting EventStagers. Sponsor opportunities are also available.

The February 6, 2014 event will offer businesses, business owners, individuals and non-profits an opportunity to network while enjoying entertaining and clean comedy. Everyone is welcome to bring a team, coworkers, clients, friends and family hosted by EventStagers at The Comedy Spot located in Arlington, VA.  Networking is from 5:30 - 6:30 and a comedy show from 6:30 - 7:30.  Tickets may be purchased online at www.comedyindc.com/tickets.htm

“Survivors of domestic violence face high rates of depression, sleep disturbances, anxiety, flashbacks, and other emotional distress,” according to Safe Horizon Organization.

The LADV Foundation located in Northern Virginia was created to help the survivors of domestic abuse rebuild their lives by providing them with the tools and immediate help with their defeated mental state. LADV strives to build confidence and self-esteem in these individuals. For more information about the beneficiary of this event please visit: www.ladvfoundation.org
