The year is just started and one of PADI Course Directors had received a Certificate of Recognition for Excellence. Gina wrote to PADI about her experiences with PADI Course Director Camille Lemmens and Dive Resort Oceans 5 Gili Islands during the October 2013 Instructor Development Course Indonesia.

Gina did her PADI Divemaster Course at Gili Trawangan, but decided to come to Gili Air to follow her dream to become a PADI Dive Instructor. She enjoyed the island so much that she stayed 6 months on Gili Air. During these months she got a lot of experience as a divemaster and as an instructor. She found work on the island, and is now a dive instructor on a tropical paradise island.

At the moment Oceans 5 dive resort has started another PADI IDC and PADI IDC Staff Instructor Course. This time there is 1 IDC staff instructor candidate and 4 IDC candidates. The PADI Course Directors are conducting the IDCs in English, Dutch, French and German.

The new IDC class room will be finished in a few weeks. It will be a modern class room with all the newest technologies. It will have space for 10-15 candidates easily. The next goal will be another pool, especially made for IDCs. The current pool is a 25 meter especially designed for scuba diving, but Oceans 5 like to offer quality to their candidates. So the new pool will have no other distractions. It will be a 20 meter pool with 2 levels of depth.

If you want to do your IDC on the Gili Islands you cant deny that Oceans 5 has the best IDC facilities. And Oceans 5 dive resort likes to keep this, so every time Oceans 5 is listening to the candidates how Oceans 5 can improve.
