Gatemaster Systems, Inc. is Celebrating 20 Years in Business!
From small town roots in 1994 to a world-wide company in 2014
Gatemaster began in 1994 when Dr. Stephen Richardson created the software to help run his family entertainment centers. “There was really nothing like it out there at the time so we decided to create our own,” said Richardson. Over the years the software has grown and evolved to fit the changing needs of the entertainment business. It has been tested in multiple environments and is flexible enough to meet the needs of companies of all sizes. Gatemaster has now become a leading point-of-sale software provider for the amusement and resort industry.
Gatemaster Systems has over 800 clients in 16 different countries. Clients include: waterparks, family entertainment centers, museums, planetariums, zoos, outdoor adventure parks, tour companies and large destination resorts. The software can be translated into multiple languages.
Gatemaster has continued to evolve with technological advances and was one of the first companies to offer cashless wristband technology and digital liability waivers. Gatemaster continues to stay cutting edge by offering wireless tablet technology, wireless entrance systems and integrated e-commerce for real-time web sales.
Gatemaster is poised for growth. “We are excited to expand into new industries and to take our software into new parts of the world this year,” says Sondra Shannon, Chief Operation Officer. The company is planning on attending trade shows in Seattle (Science Museum Expo), Orlando (IAAPA and Zoos and Aquarium show), Las Vegas (World Waterpark Association)
Entertainment companies are invited to check out Gatemaster online at www.gatemaster.com or at one of the trade shows where they will be exhibiting this year. Online software demonstrations are available by calling 510-799-9725 x100.
