LAS VEGAS - Jan. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Mark Stark, CEO of Prudential Americana Group and Prudential Arizona Properties, has been named one of the 200 most powerful people in real estate in the new Swanepoel Power 200 list of the “Most Powerful People In Residential Real Estate.”

Stark owns and operates the largest Prudential Real Estate franchises in Nevada and Arizona which sell more than $2 billion in real estate annually. Stark was the only Nevada-based executive recognized on the list and ranked #116. He is joined by executives at Prudential’s parent company, Berkshire Hathaway Home Services. Ronald Peltier, CEO of HomeServices of America, was ranked #2 on the list. Earl Lee, CEO of HSF Affiliates ranked #15 and Robert Moline, president and COO of HomeServices of America ranked #17. Stephen Phillips, CEO of Berkshire Hathaway Home Services, ranked #69. Several other Berkshire Hathaway affiliates, or franchise owners, were also listed.

Swanepoel cited Berkshire Hathaway’s recent residential real estate acquisitions as a top reason for their numerous placements on the Power 200. “During the last 15 months , HomeServices of America orchestrated the biggest acquisition in the industry in recent times, grabbing two top 10 franchise networks at the same time—Prudential and Real Living. This led to a dazzling rebranding plan and the launch of a significant national new brand, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices,” said the company’s announcement.

Stark is an industry leader and in 2013 was named Broker of the Year by Prudential Real Estate/HSA Affiliates. His is the fourth largest Prudential Real Estate franchise in the country with nearly 2,000 real estate sales executives and staff supporting 20 offices in Nevada and Arizona.

Last year Stark’s company posted more than $2.6 billion in real estate sales. Both the Nevada and Arizona franchises are involved with dozens of charitable endeavors including a national partnership with Move for Hunger, The Sunshine Kids Foundation, Toys for Tots, Making Strides for Breast Cancer, Opportunity Village and most recently Phoenix Children’s Hospital.

Swanepoel Power 200 rankings are based on multiple criteria that take into account the individual’s personal influence, his/her tenure in the industry, the office he or she holds, the decision-making power of said office, the financial resources of the company or organization, the company or organization’s significance and contribution to the industry, the company’s geographic reach, and his or her recent activities, growth, and potential. “It serves to identify those that influence, impact and lead the residential brokerage industry,” said Stefan Swanepoel, publisher.
