Rio Designs supplies bespoke office furniture to Clarendon’s exclusive new office in Fulham Green

MILTON KEYNES, U.K. - Jan. 16, 2014 - PRLog -- Chester House, adjacent to Putney Bridge tube station, offers clients a stylish comfortable working environment and is regarded by many in the serviced office industry as an example of the latest thinking in people-friendly design.

Rio’s Managing Director Derrick Dickinson worked closely with Clarendon’s designer Kerry Bailey to create an office that would appeal to a wide cross section of clients and reflect the fashionable vibrant atmosphere of the Fulham Green area.

The 21,000 sq ft office has a very British feel with interior design features such as iconic London Underground-style signs for meeting rooms, Royal Mail livery for the post room and a BT look-alike telephone booth - with glass that turns opaque when occupied - are just some of the office’s unusual features. Other facilities include a café, a gymnasium, a large terrace, and outdoor meeting areas.

When it came to choosing desks for the new office, Derrick recommended Buronomic office furniture, and arranged for Clarendon’s Managing Director Julian Cooper to visit the factory in France to view the range at first hand.

As a major supplier to the serviced office sector Rio Designs has commissioned Buronomic to build desks measuring 1400 x 700 rather than the traditional 1400 x 800. These give greater flexibility and can be more easily configured to optimise the available space. For example it is possible to put three desks together to form a unit of 2100 x 1400 without any overhang. Other furniture, such as conference and reception desks were also supplied by Rio from the Buronomic factory.

Rio Designs supplied around 95% of the furniture for Chester House including seating, which was again built to Rio’s technical specification and Clarendon’s interior design brief.

In 2012 Clarendon was voted Business Centre of the Year by the Business Centre Association.  The company has 12 serviced office facilities in London and the South of England.
