NEW YORK - Jan. 17, 2014 - PRLog -- In Charleston, W.Va. a faulty containment wall allowed chemicals to ooze out into the Elk River, then contaminating the river water which is used as a major water supply for its inhabitants. This contamination led to 16 percent of the state’s water supply to become unusable but states officials are still unsure as to how much of the chemicals entered the river.

Due to Aquacai’s truck donation of the 10 tons of water, families will now be able to drink clean drinking water, take showers and survive without having the fear of further contaminating themselves. Decontaminating the river water can take days for clean tap water to flow again. Water sample tests results must first consistently show that the chemical's presence in the public water system is at or below the federal recommended amount. Thanks to the generosity of the Aquacai Artesian Aquifer Bottled Water Company, the families of West Virginia are safe from harm until their water is ridden of these chemicals.

Aquacai wants to be a model for how businesses, bottled water companies particularly, grow. With a source as naturally pure as the Acai artesian aquifer (, the only thing clearer than Aquacai's artesian water ( is the fact that they're a company worth supporting and are always looking out to support others in a time of need.

Aquaçai is a premium artesian water from the rainforest of Panama. It is produced, bottled and shipped from its source and with their state of the art water bottling system means cleaner and healthier water. Aquaçai water is always untouched, and all minerals in their water occur naturally in their rainforest aquifer. In addition, its bottles are 100% recyclable, BPA free and their water meets FDA standards. Forty to sixty percent of energy used in their bottling plant comes from renewable hydropower. The company has also been featured in the media for giving back to the global community and for making improvements in the rainforest.
