Arrastia, Capote & Phang Partners with The HNBA Legal Education Fund to Establish New Scholarship

WASHINGTON - Jan. 15, 2014 - PRLog -- The Miami law firm of Arrastia, Capote & Phang LLP has partnered with The HNBA Legal Education Fund (The Fund) to establish a new scholarship for deserving law school students.  The firm will commit $7,500 over five years to fund this scholarship.

Annually over the next five years, The Fund will award the Arrastia, Capote & Phang Scholarship to a different law school student via a direct grant of $1,500 to be used at the institution of their choice.

“I am very pleased with Arrastia, Capote & Phang’s commitment to Hispanic law students through the establishment of this scholarship,” said The HNBA Legal Education Fund president Omar Vargas.  “A solid education is the foundation for a successful career and fulfilling life, and provides increased opportunities in an ever-changing world.”

The 2014 recipient of the Arrastia, Capote & Phang Scholarship will be announced in March at the Hispanic National Bar Association’s 5th Annual Corporate Counsel Conference & 19^th Annual Uvaldo Herrera National Moot Court Competition in Orlando, Florida.

Students currently enrolled in an accredited law school will be eligible to apply.  Additional information and application guidelines for the Arrastia, Capote & Phang Scholarship will be made available on January 20, 2014 through The Fund’s website at www.hnbafund.org.  Interested students must submit their application by February 28, 2014.
