SOSF Prescription Savings Card Financially Supports the USO Delaware
The Support Our Soldiers Foundation (SOSF), a joint Mt. Laurel, NJ – Lewes, DE alliance, recently presented a financial grant in the amount of $10,000 to the USO Delaware in support of their efforts at Dover Air Force Base.
The large grant was gratefully accepted at a ceremony at the Dover AFB Air Mobility Command Museum on December 1, 2013, in Dover, DE. The organization requested the grant to support military personnel processing in and out of the country as well as mortuary operations on the Dover Air Force Base. The USO, a nonprofit, nonpolitical organization, has been fulfilling its mission of lifting the spirits of America’s troops and their families for 70 years. Through an extensive range of programs at more than 160 locations in 27 states and 14 countries, they organize hundreds of entertainment events each year. Thousands of USO volunteers dedicate themselves to showing appreciation to our troops and keeping them connected to the families they left behind.
SOSF was founded in 2009 to provide financial assistance to qualifying military assistance organizations that have a proven track record of directly helping our soldiers, veterans and military families. SOSF is self-funded as the revenue to support the program comes from the distribution of the free SOSF Prescription Discount Card powered by SOSF’s corporate partner, Free For All, Inc. As of December 2013, this card has made it possible for SOSF to donate over $60,000 and save Americans over $5 million in healthcare costs. Every time a cardholder saves money by using the SOSF Prescription Discount Card, $0.50 goes to a wounded veteran.
With no enrollment or activation, the SOSF RxCut Plus card is extremely easy to use. People with or without insurance can present their card to the pharmacist for savings of up to 75% or even higher.
