By: Produce Results The contest, Produce Kindness, is a custom-designed voting application that runs exclusively on Facebook and is optimized for both desktop and mobile devices. After authorizing the contest, Facebook users can vote for any local non-profit organization on the Produce Kindness list until midnight on February 28 at www.ProduceKindness.com. The contest features 42 local nonprofits in the DFW metroplex ranging from food pantries and therapy centers to humane societies and support hubs. At the end of the voting period, Produce Results will provide fresh, new websites and much-needed cash for the three organizations with the highest number of votes – a total value of more than $20,000. “These charities do so much to help the communities they serve,” Produce Results’ creative director, Simon Trask, said. “The Produce Kindness contest is our agency’s way of showing our appreciation for all they do.” The Produce Kindness contest is one of several Facebook contests the marketing firm has developed. Over the past two years, Produce Results has created contests for clients that have allowed for more than $100,000 to be donated to various causes. The contests rely on participants spreading the word to their Facebook friends and having them share the contest and create buzz.
