Shannon's Pet Sitting adds resident ferret expert!

CARPENTERSVILLE, Ill. - Jan. 14, 2014 - PRLog -- Shannon's Pet Sitting has added to their staff a local ferret expert & Greater Chicago Ferret Associati (GCFA) member. Valerie Michalski joined Shannon's Pet Sitting in December 2013 when affilate Sally Kazanis moved to Wonder Lake. Michalski had been a friend and fellow networker that owner Shannon Cole had met a few years prior through the pet business networking group "PetNet".

"I had nobody to help me out with my ferret clients when Sally moved away. I had very good ferret cleint call with a last mintue Holiday request and was in a jam. I knew I couldntt take the job on myself since I was already booked to capacity. You han't have just anybody take care of ferret with medical needs. I didn't want to leave my client in a bind, so I called Valerie! Next thing I know a call for help turned into her joining the Shannon's Pet Sittng team!"

Valerie is Shannon’s Pet Sitting’s resident “Ferret Expert”. Although Shannon is knowledgeable when it comes to ferrets and their specialized care, she considers Valerie to be the expert in the field.

Valerie is owned by ferrets herself and is actively involved in the organization of GCFA fundraising events. Shannon and Valerie’s friendship grew as they participated in PetNet and different GCFA fundraising events together. Valerie speak fluent “Dookie” (aka “Ferret”) and often interprets for her own ferrets on her Facebook page. ;-)  We couldnt find a picture of her WITH a ferret because she is always taking pictures of the ferrets!

Valerie is an extremely knowledgeable, calm, level headed, sweet, friendly and responsible person. She pet sits for her friend’s ferrets on numerous occasions and can handle emergencies, challenges and medical needs if necessary. She’s a valuable specialized member of the Shannon’s Pet Sitting team.
