Not your typical composer tribute by any means, "The Sounds of Simon" excerpts dozens of songs form the massive body of Simon's work as the founding member of Simon & Garfunkel and eventually as an immensely successful solo artist - re-imagined in all new arrangements for the musical theater. Each song selection, chosen for it's expression of it's unique style and sentiment is woven together into a truly theatrical evening of hope, desire, despair and an eventual celebration of life. This production is a re-mounting of this past summer's staging at the Studio Theater in Mizner Park which extended it's initial 3-week run three times and ran a total of 8 weeks through October. This current rendition is an all new, larger-scale production with double the cast size of the original which had it's premiere in Palm Beach County in 2005 and other productions throughout the southeast in the years since. Most of the cast members from the summer production will be returning with NYC-based actresses, Jennifer Zito joining the principle cast which includes director/concept, Gary Waldman, Elijah Word, Christie Oliver and Andre Russell. The ensemble is also mostly returning from the summer production including Brettnie Blake, Alee Cacciatore, Jonathan Eisele, Richard Forbes, Kerine Jean-Pierre, Alissa Kane, Jeremy Martin, Ben Solmor and Chelsea Lee Wheatley.
