Fellowship of Christian Athletes Announces Seventh Annual Fundraising Banquet

NAPLES, Fla. - Jan. 13, 2014 - PRLog -- Matt Birk, former American football center has been announced as the keynote speaker for the 7^th Annual Southwest Florida FCA banquet on Tuesday, April, 1, 2014.  Birk was drafted by the Minnesota Vikings in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft, and later played for the Baltimore Ravens. He played college football at Harvard.  Birk is a two-time All-Pro, six-time Pro Bowl selection, and one-time Super Bowl champion.      This uplifting and motivating event has been designed to share the vision of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes on both a national and local level and will include guest speakers, lively entertainment, dinner, music, dynamic video presentations, and a silent auction!

     The banquet will be the primary fundraising event for the Southwest Florida area of Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), a trans-denominational Christian ministry directly involved with youth in our schools focusing on four major areas of ministry: Coaches, Campus, Camps, and Community.  The Southwest Florida chapter of FCA serves the counties of Collier, Lee, Hendry, and Glades.  They support student athletes who serve as leaders for huddle groups in 60% of our area schools with thousands of students participating and hundreds every year coming to faith in Christ.  The Annual Banquet will support FCA to reach more youth for Christ, broaden their base of consistent prayer and financial support, and further develop relationships within our community.
