Finger Lakes, Bellangelo Winery Makes Great Showing at San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Jan. 10, 2014 - PRLog -- Villa Bellangelo, located in the bucolic Finger Lakes on the west side of Seneca Lake, learned this evening that its wines earned a winery record of eight medal at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, the largest competition of American wines in the world.  With more than 5,825 entries from 25 states, the competition attracts a great deal of attention from every AVA in the United States.

Finger Lakes wines showed very well overall, winning a number of medals.  In particular, Bellangelo's medal count included the following wines:

The awards come on the heals of the new initiative being launched by Bellangelo on February 22, 2014, entitled The Riesling Experience.  The Riesling Experience will offer customers a guided wine tatsing of at least 6 Rieslings spanning vintages and vineyard sites, and will include a complementary book on Riesling to assist customers during the tatsing, and enable further study at home.  The Riesling Experience will become a regular feature at Villa Bellangelo, and will be commemorated with a wine dinner on February 22, 2014.  For fruther details, please contact the winery.
