CrossFit Empirical Expands to Bring Members More Fitness Options

FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Jan. 22, 2014 - PRLog -- CrossFit continues to grow at an exponential rate across the nation. That is proven today with the launch of “The Lab” from CrossFit Empirical. The Lab has officially opened to offer nearly 4000 square feet of specialized training area to compliment the current 5000 square feet of existing CrossFit facility.

The Lab from CrossFit Empirical has been designed to offer additional benefits to members looking to develop into even better athletes and also develop their skills.  Initially The Lab will offer Olympic Lifting, Endurance Training, and Open Gym sessions for members wanting to pursue specific CrossFit programs. Specialized training seminars are already being scheduled to take place in the upcoming months.

Training equipment for a wide variety of training styles is now available. CrossFit Empirical proudly offers specialized Olympic lifting tools, powerlifting platforms, pulling blocks, and jerk blocks as a few of their newly added features for weight training. Other styles of training are now complimented by 1275 square feet of artificial turf, plyometric boxes, 148 feet of Rogue Infinity rigs, gymnastic rings, and many other pieces of equipment.

Training styles include traditional and advanced CrossFit, competition team training, sports team training, Olympic lifting, endurance training,  in depth beginners programs, mobility training, yoga, and several others.  CrossFit Empirical gladly offers nutritional and lifestyle advice along with their training to help you achieve any goal you set for yourself. Most recently, they worked with the UPenn women’s row team and are excited to diversify their training programs. Everyone is welcome with open arms at CrossFit Empirical. As an added benefit, CrossFit Empirical has recently implemented the Wodify tracking software. This allows athletes to track their performance for every workout, exercise, and weight.  Wodify provides class schedules for each day and gives users mobile and computer access to all data from anywhere. This tool is available for all members at no charge, and is available in both the original facility and The Lab.

“Most importantly ANYONE can join the lab, it is not an exclusive club and it is not just for the elite or competitive. It has been our goal from day one to provide fitness training to everyone from grandmas to Navy SEAL Ninjas with tear drop tattoos (sounds tough),” explains one of the founders, Jay VanBuskirk. “There will be more classes, open gym, and options added in the future.
