Sage Inn & Lounge Helping People Beat Becoming a New Year’s Resolution Statistic
Cape Cod Wellness Weekend provides getaway from temptations and an opportunity to gain the tools to stay on track during Martin Luther King holiday weekend, January 18 – 19, 2014.

Surrounded by the solitude and beauty of Cape Cod Bay, participants will enjoy two challenging, 60-minute yoga classes for all ages and fitness levels and Nutrition for Life: How to Ditch Fad Diets & Develop Healthier Habits workshop hosted by acclaimed author, nutritionist and yoga teacher, Diana Cullum-Dugan, RD, LDN, RYT. After burning calories, guests will eat a healthy entrée and dessert of Herb Marinated Shrimp with Fresh Vegetable Pasta that they make during a hands-on cooking class with Sage’s own Chef Lucio Garnica and will sample a lighter version of the classic Apple Cranberry Crisp as demonstrated by Dugan. Throughout the weekend, individuals will enjoy continental breakfast and can enhance their stay with optional soothing treatments at the neighboring Jonathan Williams Spa. Before departing on Sunday, Brunch in the Sage Lounge is also being offered.
Hailing from Watertown, Massachusetts, Dugan has more than 20 years of experience helping people with busy schedules find balance through good nutrition and yoga. As a senior dietician for the Dash for Health team, ranked #1 by U.S. News & World Report, she provides nutrition education and behavioral change recommendations. As featured on the Dr. Oz Show and Good Morning America, she created meals plans and recipes for The Overnight Diet and, for 9 years, managed the Nutrition and Weight Management Center at Boston Medical Center.
Garnica is the driving force behind the Sage Lounge, and is widely-known for using seasonal, fresh and local ingredients to create inventive dishes and drinks with international flair as well as his highly sought-after cooking classes. After pursuing a culinary degree in France, his career took him around the world. Before joining Sage as Head Chef in 2012, he was a Banquet Chef at the Wequassett Resort and Golf Club in Chatham, Massachusetts.
The package, including a two night’s hotel stay at Sage’s award-winning Inn, is $199 per person (based on double occupancy). Locals can choose to partake in the educational activities alone for only $60 for the yoga classes and nutrition workshop or $35 for the cooking class.
