XLUR8 is officially recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax exempt 501c3 public charity

SAN FRANCISCO - Jan. 9, 2014 - PRLog -- XLUR8 Education and Research Foundation is a non-profit public charity founded in 2012.

Because of their experience helping professionals to pass their certification exams, XLUR8’s founders saw a need that wasn’t being addressed.  Employers had jobs to fill with skilled professionals.  Returning armed forces members, encore workers and underemployed individuals had preexisting skills which translated to marketable skills.  Yet these qualified people were out of work.

In particular, Veterans show a higher than average unemployment rate.  The problem is to translate their preexisting skills into the marketable skills that employers need right now.  Doing so helps to close the gap between high value jobs and veterans’ existing leadership, project management, information technology, and other professional level skills.

To that end, XLUR8’s big audacious goal is:

“1,500 transitioning and retired U.S. Armed Forces members, and others, have the jobs which they want by June 30, 2017″

Now that XLUR8 has been recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501c3 public charity, it is able to work on fulfilling it’s promise.

As a recognized public charity, XLUR8 is better able to collaborate with other non-profits, to provide more service.  Rather than duplicate existing services, XLUR8 collaborates with other non-profits, to accompany it’s expertise in professional certification training with complimentary community services.

In addition, XLUR8 may now accept tax-deductible contributions and donations of goods and services.   Besides the organization’s short term start up needs,  the more important and ongoing need is for funding which supports the professional credentialing of Veterans and other unemployed persons through XLUR8’s educational programs.   While anyone may participate in XLUR8’s educational programs, contributions and donations fund the service model to aid Veterans and other unemployed persons.

The first set of programs are scheduled for the first quarter of 2014, open to anyone wishing to gain certification of their professional skills.  Portions of all public registrations support the participation of Veterans and other unemployed persons through XLUR8’s programs.  Veterans may also be sponsored either individually or in part by donations made directly to XLUR8.

They served us.  Now let’s serve them.  To find out how to help sponsor veterans through XLUR8’s professional training programs, please visit www.XLUR8.org .

All donations since our incorporation on March 12, 2012 are fully tax deductible to the extent of the law.

XLUR8 Education & Research Foundation is a 501c3 charity making a difference in the lives of veterans, encore workers and other underemployed individuals, helping them to get the jobs they want.
