Follow on Google News | Brighton Publishing signs A.W. Sibley for “A Wolf Called Ring”Drawn from the memories of rural America in the 1940s, author A.W. Sibley delivers “A Wolf Called Ring”—a semi-autobiographical account of unfettered imagination and unlimited possibilities
Along the banks of the Sabine River, amongst the wild woods of Louisiana’s scenic countryside, the Courtney Place would ultimately become home for the Sibley family… …and, to the many unique memories that flowed from its doors. Unhindered by society’s often aggravating technologies, author and rural dentist, A.W. Sibley, walks once again through the woods of his childhood home with his dog Queen… …and, A Wolf Called Ring. It was the 1940s—a time when freedom meant something entirely different— when work was considered to be good instead of evil, and kids could pray in school. A time that hearkens to be heard from again… “Author A.W. Sibley crafts a remarkable account of life during a historic era, when the newness and pleasure of life was discovered in the simplest things,” said Kathie McGuire, director of Brighton Publishing LLC. “A Wolf Called Ring fills a void in the market unseen since Laura Ingalls Wilder introduced her classic Little House on the Prairie series—a priceless piece of Americana.” Author A.W. Sibley was born and raised in the small town of Negreet, Louisiana. After serving in the U.S. Army, he attended McNeese State University in Lake Charles, Louisiana, and Loyola University in New Orleans where he obtained his Doctorate in Dentistry. Dr. Sibley spent his career working as a country dentist in rural Louisiana where he raised four children with his wife, Margaret. Currently retired, Dr. Sibley resides in Merryville, Louisiana and enjoys farming and writing. End
