The Ford F-Series Pickup Truck was the Best-Selling Car in 2013

This marks the 32^nd year in a row where the Ford pickup has taken the top spot, beating out competing models from Chevrolet and Ram.

Ford sold a total of 793,402 Ford F-Series models during 2013. Compared to 2012, they sold 148,086 more for a 22.9% sales increase. Ford’s frequent sales sparring partner, Chevrolet, also sold more of their Chevy Silverado with a 14.8% sales increase and total sales of 480,414, which put it barely in competition with the Ford.

Rounding out the top three was the Toyota Camry, falling close behind the Silverado with a total of 408,484 models sold. The other Detroit pickup truck from Ram was back in fifth place with a total of 355,673 units sold. Though far behind Ford and Chevrolet, the Ram picked up some speed this year with a sales increase of 21.2%.This was enough to push the normally popular Honda Civic into sixth place.
