Brian Jones at Mouchel Technology M&E Servicesspecified two Remeha Gas 210 Eco Pro condensing boilers to guarantee the reliable delivery of energy-efficient heating and hot water. The reduced footprint of the Remeha Gas 210 Eco Pro also allowed the University to carry out a redesign of the pipework and pumps layout for easier future access and maintenance of the plant.
The University of Liverpool’s Veterinary Field Station is renowned globally for its work on equine, farm animals and domestic pets. As filming for Channel 5’s ‘Ben Fogle’s Animal Clinic’ series wrapped at the Leahurst Campus, the redesign and refurbishment of its heating system began ahead of the winter months. For the wellbeing and comfort of the animals, professional vets and students, installation contractor Ellesmere Engineering carried out the installation around one of the old boilers, thereby ensuring continuous heat delivery throughout the replacement process.
Peter Birch, Engineering Services Manager at Liverpool University commented:
“The installation of the new boilers was carried out on time and on budget. These new boilers will go a long way to helping this site play its part in the University’s overall carbon reduction campaign and will provide highly efficient heating and hot water facilities at this important veterinary facility for many years to come.”
The two Gas 210 Eco Pro boilers join a whole range of Remeha boilers at the Leahurst Campus and University of Liverpool, specified for their generic design, environmental credentials and renowned reliability.
