Dementia Signage a Growing Priority in Ireland

Sales for specialty Dementia signage for care homes in Ireland more than doubled in 2013, reports retailer Recogneyes.

Jan. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- 2013 saw record awareness campaigns for Dementia, both from the government and charitable organizations. However, it was from Ireland, rather than the mainland UK that the care signage brand saw most growth.

“Care home managers often express a desire for the specialty signage, to meet the needs of their residents with Dementia, but lack the budget to make the purchase.” Says Lynn Boyd, Senior Account Manager at Recogneyes. “But customers in Ireland seem to be more decisive about buying.”

In fact, the company has just welcomed an additional two sales reps for Northern Ireland and R.O.I to keep up with demand.

Sales of the anti-glare directional signs, personalised room signs and magnetic menu boards to care homes in Ireland increased by 134% from 2012 to 2013.  This compared to a 60% rise in similar sales from the mainland UK.
