Vegas Style Hypnosis Comedy Show Comes to Gilbert, Arizona

GILBERT, Ariz. - Jan. 8, 2014 - PRLog -- Performing stand up comedy for almost twenty years, New Jersey native John Moyer knows how to make a crowd laugh. He's been a popular act at comedy clubs and corporate shows across the country. The Seattle Post-Intelligencer calls John, "Genuinely witty." Las Vegas comedian and television host Louie Anderson praises John for being "very funny!” while Country Music Star Nathan Osmond labels John also as “One funny guy!”

However, after thousands of side-splitting shows on the comedy stage, John now allows somebody else to be the star of the show: the audience members. Combining a unique style of stand up comedy with professional stage hypnotism, John calls for volunteers to come to the stage and puts them into a hypnotic trance that provides all the entertainment.

"The show's not about me, " John explains. "It's about the volunteers from the audience being the center of attention. Every show is completely different.”

John's unique blend of stand up comedy, improv and hypnosis is a hit. "We had over one thousand people at John’s hypnosis show," says Jannette Newton, Event Director at Salt Lake City's first ever Comic Con. "John kept everyone entertained with a great combination of funny and fascinating. His hypnosis show was a huge hit at Salt Lake Comic Con!”

After a comedic explanation of hypnosis, how it works and dispelling the misconceptions, John assures the audience members volunteers will only feel amazing and never embarrassed. "I need volunteers," John explains. "I can't do the show without them. Whether you're on stage or in the audience, a good time is had by all. You just have an even better time on stage," John points out.

John will be performing two hypnosis comedy shows as a fundraiser to benefit the Red Mountain Girls’ Rugby team, The Unicorns. A 7:30PM and 9:30PM show will take place Saturday January 18th, 2014 at the Gilbert Southeast Regional Library Auditorium, 775 North Greenfield Road, Gilbert.
