$60,000 CNC Lathe for East Lake High School
2014 is bringing significant new CNC manufacturing opportunities to East Lake High School.

Students at East Lake High School Academy of Engineering will be among the first trained with this in-demand manufacturing skillset as part its STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) curriculum. The CNC lathe will give students the opportunity to use their computer skills to build almost anything they can imagine, allowing students to innovate with various materials, such as Corian, wood, and metal.

This is another great opportunity for East Lake students at the academy, which recently received national recognition by being designated as one of eleven PRIME Model Schools in the U.S. for teaching an exemplary manufacturing curriculum.
