Philadelphia labor and employment lawyer Stuart W. Davidson to serve on nonprofit committee
The IFEBP is a nonprofit organization dedicated to being a leading objective and independent global source of education and information about employee benefits, compensation and financial literacy. Based on nominations received, the Executive Committee selected Davidson to serve as a member of the Professionals Committee for a one-year term.
“I am honored to be selected as a committee member for IFEBP, the largest and most active employee benefit plan organization in the nation,” Davidson said. “As a labor and employee benefits attorney, I look for the best resources to ensure just compensation and fair working conditions for all industries. The Foundation provides trustees and benefits professionals with vital tools to help advocate for their clients.”
During Davidson’s legal career, he has been involved in representing a wide range of union workers, including musicians, longshoremen, machinists, steelworkers, firefighters, teamsters, police officers, food and commercial workers, NFL players and university professors. His work for both public and private-sector unions includes leading contract negotiations, presenting interest and grievance arbitrations, representing employee benefit funds and advising clients on internal union matters. He also has played key roles in the development of progressive new benefit structures with the pension and health and welfare plans he represents.
For nearly 20 years, Davidson’s peers consistently have selected him for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America® in the fields of Labor and Employment Law. He also has been named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer by Thomson Reuters, published annually in Philadelphia magazine, every year since 2004. Davidson is chair of the Pennsylvania Board of Law Examiners and a Fellow of the College of Labor and Employment Lawyers.
