Kelly Johnson Appointed Account Manager at Cavignac & Associates

SAN DIEGO - Jan. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Kelly Johnson has been appointed an account manager in the employee benefits department of Cavignac & Associates, announced Jeffrey W. Cavignac, CPCU, RPLU, CRIS, MLIS, principal and founder of the San Diego-based commercial insurance brokerage firm.

Working with company principal Patrick Casinelli, RHU, REBC, CHRS, who heads the agency’s employee benefits department, Johnson will be charged with educating the agency’s clients about the changes ahead with Health Care Reform, helping them budget for health insurance renewals, and developing employee benefit packages that will allow them to be more competitive in the job marketplace.

Johnson brings to Cavignac & Associates more than 16 years of insurance industry experience.  Most recently, she served as the senior benefits consultant for Digital Insurance in North San Diego County, where she was employed for six years.  There she worked with small- to mid-sized companies on renewal strategies and helped model comprehensive benefit packages for their employees.  She also handled escalated service issues, trained co-workers on the Digital service model and led the design and implementation of processes to streamline workflow.

Her previous career experience includes having served as a senior sales associate at Blue Shield for three-and-a-half years, an account executive for Employer’s Choice Insurance Services for four years, and an insurance agent for D&A Insurance for another two years.

She is licensed in Property & Casualty and Life insurance, and a member of the San Diego Association of Health Underwriters.

Born in Houston, Texas, and raised in Atlanta, Ga., Johnson currently resides in Point Loma with her six-year-old son, Jared.
