HARRISONBURG, Va. - Jan. 6, 2014 - PRLog -- Brent Holl, owner of Beatin' Path Publications LLC, is pleased to announce the purchase of all the publishing and distribution rights to the works of Kerri Lynn Nichols from Kerri-Oke Publications.  The entire library of books and CD's is now available through Beatin' Path and affiliated distributors around the world.

Kerri Lynn Nichols has been a teacher of Orff-Schulwerk for twenty-seven years, receiving her Master level Orff certification from the University of CA, Santa Cruz and the University of Memphis and attended the international course at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.

Ms. Nichols has taught all ages in both the public and private sectors and presents workshops for state, national and international conferences. She was the guest presenter for The Chinese Orff Association where she trained 150 teachers from various provinces and returned this past summer to extend that work.

She designs and implements courses for educators in music through movement, academic integration and brain-based learning. Currently, she uses music and movement to teach kindergarten at Southworth Elementary in Yelm and directs The Olympia Peace Choir which she founded. Take a look at her current publications. Music Moments to Teach Academics (BPP-KMM) Book $49.95 For classroom teachers and music specialists, this is a source book of activities and practical ideas to integrate music and movement into the curriculum. Conceptual teaching, fundamental movement pattern theory, and integrating music as types intelligence are  featured. Music & Movement for Munchkins, (BPP-KM4M) Book $39.95 Music and movement songs, ideas and lesson plans for pre-school through K, arranged using the Orff approach to awaken creativity. Includes Nursery Rhymes, BrainStories and BrainDance variations, games, instructions for making simple instruments, creative dance improvisations and suggestions for using the selections from the CDs (available separately). Designed for parents, caregivers and teachers of young children.

Music & Movement for Munchkins CD, (BPP-KM4MCD) 2CD $24.95 This double CD includes simple songs, chants and rhymes in developmentally appropriate musical settings for Munchkins ages 2-5. Songs for beat and rhythmic competency, honing  listening and language skills, pitch-matching and melodic development and social opportunities are included.

Joy Full Noise (BPP-KJFN) Book $34.95 This collection of church music for children and youth includes 27 original songs and arrangements for Orff instruments and piano. Let the Little Ones Come (BPP-KLOC) Book $34.95  This collection of church music for young children includes twenty original pieces and arrangements featuring the various events of the church year. Includes student reproducibles in the back of the  book. Arrangements include piano accompaniments and simple Orff orchestrations.

Once A Round (BPP-KOAR) Book $24.95 This collection of fifteen original rounds for beginning and intermediate voices covers themes from the "A-B-C's" to "Let Your Voice Be Heard.” Melodies are arranged acappella, with Orff settings or piano/guitar accompaniments. The book includes several suggestions for creatively working with rounds to enhance the musical experience

I Am the Song (BPP-KIATS) CD $14.95 22 original songs and arrangements in a variety of styles includes selected pieces from Ms. Nichols’s publications for children with full orchestrations appropriately scored for children to sing and play. Ten instrumental pieces can be used for creative dance, creative writing, visual art or listening activities. The songs center around themes of peace, light,  empowerment, nature and joy.

Music for Dancers (BPP-M4CD) CD $14.95 and Music for Dancers, Too (BPP-M4CD2) CD $14.95  These 2 CDs include many original  compositions to be used for creative music, movement & improvisation explorations with students of all ages. The pieces also accompany the activities and materials found in the books "Music For Dancers" and "Music Moments To Teach Academics". Includes a booklet with suggestions for using each piece in the classroom and a list of the musical concepts.
