Besides Daniel Playing 30A Songwriters Festival
Atlanta, GA-based eclectic folk band Besides Daniel has been invited to perform at the 5th annual 30A Songwriters Festival. The festival will take place along the spectacular Highway 30A on the Florida panhandle January 17-19, 2014.
Singing, playing and writing songs for the past several years, Danny Brewer – front man of Besides Daniel – cannot wait to share his stories through his songs at the beaches of 30A. Besides Daniel is much more than lovely, welcoming melodies and unique, intriguing acoustic riffs – Danny is a brilliant lyricist who bears his heart on his sleeve; he is the epitome of soulful songwriting. Besides Daniel has much to offer to the 30A Songwriters Festival, which is growing more and more every year.
“I’ve heard about the incredible 30A Fest for a few years now and have always wanted to come down,” offers Brewer. “Now, I’m super pumped to be playing alongside folks like Andrew Combs and Elliot Bronson. Can’t wait!”
“The 30A Songwriters Festival has quickly gained a reputation among musicians as a forum for true songwriters to perform their self-penned songs as well as established performers to showcase their original compositions,”
A true adventurer, Danny’s lyrics are as uninhibited as he is. Putting words to emotions that we wish we could express as poetically as he does, feelings of love, of loss, of self-examination and our relation to a greater power. In “Set Sail” (which can be found on This Marvelous Grief), Danny portrays feelings of disorientation towards his own life, he sings, “I set sail on everything else but the sea.” Though he offers hope in “10,000 Beautiful Angels” (also on This Marvelous Grief), a song about learning to love one’s own self, he sings, “And when I opened the window, I saw that I was alone. And the beautiful day shown, One thousand blossoming halos.”
