Seattle Puppet Making Workshop - Starting 02/01

Assistance available using a sewing machine.

Limit 12 per class  -   Date:02/01  -   Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Chad discovered his love for puppets at a very early age. From the marionettes that his grandmother would bring him to shows like Mr. Rogers, Sesame Street and the Great Space Coaster, he knew that puppetry would play an important role in his life.

The problem was that puppetry seemed like magic and finding someone to teach you that magic seemed impossible. He instead pursued his other creative passions like writing, filming and painting but never found a door into the world of puppetry.

While his first career as a restaurant designer did not include his creative passions his free time was always consumed with writing and creating. In 2010 he finally found that elusive doorway he'd been looking for all his life and had the opportunity to participate in the first Puppet School Seattle. From that moment on there was no stopping him. With the knowledge and confidence that Puppet School had given him Chad won first place in an international puppet making competition, became a finalist for Geek & Sundry's show competition (with puppets of course!) and started a puppet based media production company.

In 2013 he quit his first career to pursue his creative endeavors full time. He is passionate about sharing the gift of puppetry with other aspiring puppeteers and puppet makers out there and showing them that doorway he found into the magical land of puppets.

Chad is excited to be teaching Puppet Making and on-camera TV Puppetry in the beautiful NW and can't wait to see the new puppets and projects that his students bring to life.
