STOCKHOLM, Sweden - Jan. 4, 2014 - PRLog -- I-sraeli syndrome, a memoir by the award winning author Albert Russo, is set in Israel, Africa and Europe, and was an award finalist in The National Best Books Awards, sponsored by USA Book News. The novel was also published in the author's own French version by Editions Hors Commerce, Paris, under the title ‘La Tour Shalom’.

“A brilliant novel, honest and true-hearted, beyond borders, a vexatious testament to diverting read.” (Editorial l-Aleph)

Fiction writer and renowned literary essayist David Alexander says: “Just as it is in some ways reminiscent of Joyce's Ulysses, I-sraeli Syndrome shares attributes with Eric Ambler’s tales of ‘innocents abroad,’ but it also shares a great deal with those 19th and early 20th century authors of the roman à clef, ‘romances with a key,’ especially those penetratingly insightful books and stories written by the Swiss novelist Hermann Hesse that Hesse dubbed Seelenbiographie or ‘biographies of the soul.’ I-sraeli Syndrome is very much a modern biography of the soul, and onto its pages Russo seems to have poured out dark secrets and lustrous truths dredged from the depths of his being.”

Albert Russo who has published worldwide over 80 books of poetry, fiction and photography, in both English and French, his two mother tongues, is the recipient of many awards, such as The New York Poetry Forum and Amelia (CA) Awards, The American Society of Writers Fiction Award, The British Diversity Short Story Award, The AZsacra international Poetry Award (Taj Mahal Review), the Books & Authors Award, several Writer’s Digest poetry and fiction Awards (winner and finalist), Aquillrelle Awards, the Prix Colette, among others. His work has been translated into a dozen languages in 25 countries, on the five continents.
