Fafco Solar Cape Coral Completes Solar Panel Installation for FMI Hansa Medical Products

CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Jan. 3, 2014 - PRLog -- Fafco Solar announces the recent completion of a solar panel installation for FMI Hansa Medical Products in Naples, FL. The project consists of a 38.25kW Solar Photovoltaic System, with 153 solar modules from Canadian Solar rated at 250W each. Fafco installed a similar solar energy system, with non-penetrating clamps attaching solar rails to the standing seam metal roof, at the Naples Botanical Garden just down the road from this site.

“FMI Hansa representatives contacted us for the project after realizing that the original company contracted to install the solar panels was not meeting its obligations,” said Jason Szumlanski of Fafco Solar.

FMI Hansa had a strict deadline for the project to be completed in time for a ribbon cutting ceremony. However, when Fafco arrived on the job, they discovered that it would require them to “go back to the drawing board.”

“Half of the materials had been delivered, and they were unable to procure the remaining materials required due to a manufacturer bankruptcy,” added Szumlanski. “The design was flawed from the beginning and the materials on-site did not match the plans. I recommended that we go back to the drawing board – a bold recommendation given the short time-frame allotted for the project.”

The original contractor was terminated and Fafco Solar was hired to take to take over the installation and properly complete it by the project deadline. Even with the short time-frame allotted, Fafco Solar was able to meet the strict deadline.

“In three weeks after signing a contract we were able to design, engineer, permit, procure, install, and inspect the system just in time for the ribbon cutting,” said Szumlanski.
