Another Broken Egg Café Hatches in New Orleans with A Fundraiser to Benefit Café Reconcile
The public is invited over these three exclusive dates to dine at no charge with donations being accepted for locally based Café Reconcile, which transforms the lives of young adults and the community through the ministry of reconciliation by encouraging personal growth, providing a hospitality workforce development program, promoting entrepreneurship, and working with businesses, nonprofits and people of faith to support this transformation. “We’re thrilled to be opening in my hometown of New Orleans giving us the opportunity to support the efforts of Café Reconcile with our festivities, and by bringing in new talent to from their work force to become part of our restaurant team,” states said Kevin Armantrout, president of Hoosier Hospitality Group. “Plus our Magazine Street location is on the parade route and we think it’s the perfect meeting place for local residents and visitors to the Big Easy. We look forward to participating in many of the festivals and events for which the city is famous.”
Both ABEC locations in New Orleans are locally co-owned and operated by Armantrout and his partners. The Franchisor of Another Broken Egg of America was founded by Ron Green in 1996 with its first location in Mandeville, Louisiana, and it has become a leader in the morning restaurant sector with 28 restaurants to date across the southeast United States, California and Indiana.
Guests dining at Another Broken Egg Café will have plenty of tempting dishes to choose from, and the restaurant will provide customers with an “at-home” welcoming ambiance and cordial service. The menu features fresh and nutritious southern-inspired dishes. There are six varieties of eggs benedict, 11 gourmet omelette choices, an exceptional signature Bananas Foster over Belgian waffles, French toast or sweet potato pancakes, southern crabstack, biscuit beignets, along with handcrafted burgers, specialty sandwiches and fresh salads. Each meal is carefully prepared to order with the highest quality and freshest ingredients available. Menu prices range on average from $2.99 to $10.99 for appetizers and $4.79 to $16.99 for entrées.
Furthermore, ABEC’s Healthy Side menu, which includes granola, fruit & quinoa, gluten free friendly jumbo pancakes, the skinny omelette, steel cut oats and simply salmon, will also available. Plus with the addition of the “Breakfast for Dinner” service comes some brand new menu items that are New Orleans-inspired including Louisiana Seafood Gumbo; Redfish Etouffee with Creole crawfish sauce smothering a Cajun seared redfish, and Eggs Sardou, sautéed spinach, artichokes, two poached eggs that are topped with a blend of creamy Hollandaise and Florentine sauce.
A full bar will be featured at ABEC with highlights that include a rotating list of locally brewed beers and spirits, along with award-winning, house-infused bloody marys, mimosas and coffee beverages. Beverage prices range from $3.99 to $6.99. Hours of service at both New Orleans locations are Sunday and Monday for breakfast, brunch and lunch from 7 AM to 2 PM, and Tuesday-Saturday, breakfast, lunch and dinner is offered from 7 AM to 8 PM. Both ABEC locations will be open daily except Thanksgiving and Christmas, and the Magazine Street restaurant has128 total seating capacity including a courtyard dining area for 60 guests.
