PETERSFIELD, U.K. - Jan. 2, 2014 - PRLog -- Pupils and staff from Bedales Prep school Dunhurst were delighted to have raised over £3000 at their annual charity event ‘Helping Other People In Trouble’ (HOPiT) Fair.

HOPiT is a child run scheme at Dunhurst where the pupils decide on which charities the school should support and then they arrange a number of events throughout the year to raise money for them, including the annual HOPiT Fair.

The children planned and prepared their own stalls, selling a range of goodies from cakes and sweets to crafts, jewellery and makeovers for parents and friends.

Jane Grubb, Head of Dunhurst, commented “It was lovely to see the pride on the children’s faces as they heard how much they had managed to raise by their combined efforts. Our HOPiT Fair is a wonderful opportunity for pupils to develop skills in team-work, project management and leadership in achieving great things for causes they really care about.”
