Actyl Group to Seek Ambitious Workers in San Juan, Puerto Rico

EDMONTON, Alberta - Dec. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- EDMONTON, Alberta — Actyl, a leading recruitment firm providing customized workforce solutions, is embarking on a recruiting trip to San Juan, Puerto Rico to find candidates to fill hundreds of jobs throughout western Canada.

The trip will take place January 14-16 and include job opportunities from about 75 employers located in the Canadian provinces of Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia. It’s part of major efforts across Canada to bring more temporary foreign workers (TFWs) to the country to fill significant gaps in the labor market.

“We are extremely excited to travel to Puerto Rico to meet with and recruit a wide range of skilled workers from throughout the region,” said Dr. Linda West, president of Actyl. “There are some tremendous opportunities in western Canada for workers to fill needed roles, and we have had great success locating TFWs across the globe to meet these high labor demands. We will be looking for candidates to fill positions in the hospitality, food service and other related sectors.”

Due to major booms in the oil and gas exploration industries, the economy in western Canada has been growing rapidly over the last several years. An influx of oil and gas workers has created more economic demand in the region, positively impacting industries that provide much-needed products and services to this population. In addition, much of the region has high numbers of older people who are reaching retirement age, opening up even more job opportunities.
