January 18th Pancake Breakfast scheduled to help send youth group to Guatemala

Youth Group members of East Petersburg Mennonite Church are preparing for a work trip through Orphan Resources International.

LANCASTER, Pa. - Dec. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- East Petersburg Mennonite Church is inviting everyone to a “Community Pancake Breakfast” on Saturday, January 18th, 2014. From 8:00am to 10:30am, the youth group will be serving pancakes and other breakfast items such as sausage.  Juice and Coffee will also be served.

The breakfast will be served by donation and anyone from the Lancaster County area is invited to join. The suggested donation price for adults is $8 and $6 for children. All donations will be used to help fund a youth group work trip to orphanages in Guatemala.

In June 2014, members of the youth group at East Petersburg Mennonite Church will be flying down to Guatemala to work with orphanages through Orphan Resources International. Orphan Resources International (ORI) is an Ephrata based organization helping over 45 Guatemalan orphanages.

Those who wish to donate but cannot attend the breakfast, can write a check to “EPMC.” In the memo line write “Youth Group Trip.”

Chelsea Delp, the Children and Youth Minister at East Petersburg Mennonite, says - "We are all looking forward to this breakfast, so bring your appetite.” She also added, “This trip will make a difference in orphanages and will be a valuable life experience for our youth.”
