Dr K K Aggarwal to Host TV Health Show

GREATER KAILASH, India - Dec. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Padma Shri and Dr. B C Roy National Awardee, Dr. K K Aggarwal, President Heart Care Foundation of India will be hosting a weekly Health Show “Health Wealth” on Zee News every Sunday.

The first show on “All about Paralysis” was telecast on Sunday 22nd December 2013 at 12.30 pm.  The panelists included Dr. Vipul Gupta, Dr. Vinay Goel and Dr. Dheeraj Khurana.

The weekly show will feature eminent Doctors from all over the country who will discuss common ailments.

Dr. Aggarwal, who is also going to take over as Senior Vice President of Indian Medical Association (IMA) from 30th December 2013 said that death and disabilities due to paralysis are preventable.  He said that everybody should remember mnemonic FAST.

The acronym stands for

F = Facial dropping (a section of the face usually on one side dropping and or hard to move)

A = Arm weakness (inability to raise both arms fully)

S = Speech difficulty (inability or difficulty to understand or produce speech)

T = Time not to be wasted (reach to nearest hospital with stroke treatment facilities at the earliest to receive clot resolving medicine within 4 ½ hours, earlier the better)

Questions to be asked:

1.         Has the face fallen on one side?

2.         Can the person smile?

3.         Can the person raise both arms and keep it there?

4.         Is the speech slurred?

5.         Which is the nearest hospital with stroke treatment facility?
